Job Summary

A company is looking for a Product Counsel to join its Legal team.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and advise cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle, focusing on payroll and employee-related products
• Provide practical legal advice on various issues including product compliance, privacy, and contracts
• Stay current on relevant laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and advising on marketing content

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school with active state bar membership
• 5+ years of legal experience, preferably in-house with a payroll or HR service provider
• Deep expertise in product, regulatory compliance, privacy, and consumer protection laws
• Proven experience advising product teams and managing complex negotiations
• Knowledge of multi-state employment laws, particularly in payroll and employee lifecycle
