New York Senior Accountant

Job Summary

Joining a dynamic finance team, the full-time Senior Accountant in New York will manage the end-to-end accounts receivable cycle, support month-end close activities, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, cash application, collections, and reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze AR aging reports, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions
• Lead month-end close activities related to accounts receivable, including journal entries and account reconciliations

Required qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in accounting operations with a public company
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and its application to accounts receivable and general accounting processes
• Experience supporting month-end and year-end close processes
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite applications
