New York Staff Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their finance team remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and reconcile to the general ledger
• Reconcile bank accounts weekly and prepare monthly general ledger entries
• Assist in variance analysis and manage end-of-year 1099 forms compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software (SAGE) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
