Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the New York State Arbitration Coordinator will review and analyze healthcare claims documentation to support eligibility determinations and case resolution while functioning as a subject matter expert in complex cases.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze data submitted for Independent Medical Review and conduct fact-finding on complex cases
- Track and meet deadlines for complex cases while assisting leadership through data research and report authoring
- Review and interpret healthcare-related documentation, making accurate eligibility determinations based on applicable guidelines
Required qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent required
- 2-4 years of related professional experience in healthcare claims processing
- Strong knowledge of EOBs, HCFA/CMS-1500 claim forms, and related billing documentation
- Demonstrated ability to make eligibility determinations using critical analysis and independent judgment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
