New York State Certified Bilingual Educator

Job Summary

To support a growing virtual education initiative, a remote New York State Certified Bilingual Educator will teach high school curriculum in Math, Science, or Social Studies, attend professional development meetings, and collaborate with in-class facilitators on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver virtual instruction and engage students through creative lesson plans aligned with the curriculum
• Record student progress and manage grades while nurturing student relationships
• Participate in district professional development and faculty meetings

Required qualifications

• Current NYS teacher certification in Middle School or High School Math, Science, or Social Studies
• Bilingual Education Extension Certification (English/Spanish) or willingness to obtain it
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Prior online teaching experience is a plus
