New York State Licensed Project Manager
Job Summary
Leading mission-critical cybersecurity initiatives, the hybrid New York State Licensed Project Manager will drive complex technology projects in Albany, including the distribution of hardware authentication tokens for multi-factor authentication (MFA) grants to local governments.
Key responsibilities
- Report directly to the ITS Chief Information Office program manager to deliver on strategic objectives
- Lead multiple project teams, organize and prioritize work, and ensure alignment with project goals
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and standard artifacts for large-scale cybersecurity projects
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Sciences, Engineering, or a technical field preferred
- Minimum 8 years' experience managing complex IT projects
- Demonstrated leadership in technology project management, including cross-team coordination
- Proficient in project scheduling, documentation, and risk management
- PMP certification is preferred, particularly with New York State projects
