Job Summary

To enhance clinical documentation practices, the full-time remote RN, Clinical Document Specialist will facilitate interactions with healthcare teams, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulations while maximizing revenue opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitates clinical documentation improvement through collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams
• Provides oversight of documentation processes and communicates with medical staff to ensure accurate medical records
• Presents findings and educates peers on documentation improvement and reimbursement opportunities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) with 5 years of inpatient clinical experience or equivalent qualifications
• Current New York State Registered Nurse License or equivalent clinical license upon hire
• Knowledge of complex disease processes and clinical documentation improvement
• Preferred experience with EPARC, eRecord, HDM, and SharePoint
• Clinical Documentation Specialist (CDS) or Clinical Documentation Improvement Professional (CDIP) certification preferred
