Job Summary
To enhance clinical documentation practices, the full-time remote RN, Clinical Document Specialist will facilitate interactions with healthcare teams, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulations while maximizing revenue opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitates clinical documentation improvement through collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams
- Provides oversight of documentation processes and communicates with medical staff to ensure accurate medical records
- Presents findings and educates peers on documentation improvement and reimbursement opportunities
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) with 5 years of inpatient clinical experience or equivalent qualifications
- Current New York State Registered Nurse License or equivalent clinical license upon hire
- Knowledge of complex disease processes and clinical documentation improvement
- Preferred experience with EPARC, eRecord, HDM, and SharePoint
- Clinical Documentation Specialist (CDS) or Clinical Documentation Improvement Professional (CDIP) certification preferred
