Job Summary
To support tax compliance and advisory functions, the full-time remote New York State Licensed Tax Manager will oversee tax reporting, manage compliance strategies, and provide guidance on federal, state, and international tax matters within a complex organization.
Key responsibilities
- Manage tax reporting compliance and strategy, including research on legislative tax developments
- Provide oversight and guidance to the tax team and payroll staff on tax-related matters
- Act as the primary contact for tax audits and inquiries, ensuring timely responses and compliance
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant tax compliance experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax compliance laws and principles
- Foundational understanding of international income or VAT/GST tax concepts
- Proficiency in advanced spreadsheet and database software
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
