New York State Licensed Teacher for the Visually Impaired

Job Summary

A school district is seeking a New York State Licensed Teacher for the Visually Impaired for a fully remote contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and specialized instruction to visually impaired students in various subjects
• Utilize assistive technologies and tools to enhance learning experiences
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents/guardians to ensure a holistic approach to education

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or related field
• New York State Certification in Teaching for the Visually Impaired (TVI) or willingness to obtain certification
• Valid teaching license
• At least two years of school/pediatric experience
• Must be tech savvy and have a home computer with high internet speed
