Job Summary

A company is looking for a New York State Licensed Teacher for the Visually Impaired.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and specialized instruction to visually impaired students, adapting materials and methods as needed
• Utilize assistive technologies and tools to enhance learning experiences and accessibility
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents/guardians to ensure a holistic approach to education

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
• New York State Certification in Teaching for the Visually Impaired (TVI) or willingness to obtain certification
• At least two years of school/pediatric experience
• Must have a valid license and provide liability insurance
• Must be tech-savvy and have a home computer with high-speed internet
