New York Workers Compensation Examiner

Job Summary

Analyzing Lost-Time Workers Compensation claims for a dedicated client, the full-time Workers Compensation Examiner will adjudicate complex customer claims while ensuring timely resolutions and effective communication, with the option to work remotely if outside the commutable distance to Syracuse, NY.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and gather information to determine claim exposure and process claims through action plans
• Negotiate settlements of claims within designated authority
• Communicate claim activity and processing updates to claimants and clients

Required qualifications

• 2 years of claims management experience or equivalent education and experience
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification applicable to the line of business preferred
• Knowledge of New York jurisdiction is essential
• Licensing in New York preferred but not required
