Job Summary

A company is looking for a Workers Compensation Claims Examiner for the NY jurisdiction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a capped caseload of workers' compensation claims from inception to resolution while adhering to company procedures and regulatory requirements
• Ensure compliance with New York workers' compensation laws, including timely filing of reports and adherence to benefit payment timelines
• Negotiate settlements of claims within designated authority and maintain accurate records in the claims management system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of workers' compensation claims handling experience
• Experience with New York jurisdictional regulations and the New York State Workers' Compensation Board rules
• High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree or relevant certifications (e.g., WCCP, AIC) is a plus
• Strong understanding of workers' compensation claims processes and legal requirements in New York
• Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite
