Job Summary

Analyzing Lost-Time Workers Compensation claims, the full-time Workers Compensation Examiner will adjudicate complex customer claims and negotiate settlements while working remotely or in a hybrid schedule if within commutable distance to Syracuse, NY.

Key responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing claims to ensure timely resolution through investigation and information gathering
• Negotiating settlement of claims within designated authority
• Communicating claim activity and processing updates to claimants and clients

Required qualifications

• 2 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification applicable to the line of business preferred
• Knowledge of New York jurisdiction required
• Licensing in New York preferred, but not required
