New York Workers Compensation Trainee

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the fully remote New York Workers Compensation Trainee will engage in a 6-month paid immersive learning experience, focusing on claims management and client service excellence through structured learning, mentorship, and hands-on application of skills.

Key responsibilities:

• Participate in structured learning, including instructor-led sessions and job shadowing to build foundational knowledge in insurance and claims operations
• Shadow experienced claims professionals and progressively take ownership of indemnity workers' compensation claims under supervision
• Engage in professional communication with clients and stakeholders to support empathetic and outcome-focused claims handling

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or 4-year degree from an accredited institution preferred
• GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred; other candidates with proven experience will be considered
• Familiarity with M365 products, including Outlook, Word, and basic Excel and PowerPoint
• Active listening skills and a problem-solving mindset
• Adaptability to changes in procedures and technology
