New Zealand Licensed Legal Counsel
Job Summary
To support commercial contracting and legal operational processes, the full-time New Zealand Licensed Legal Counsel will draft, review, and negotiate contracts, evaluate business risks, and provide expertise in data privacy within a dynamic SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SaaS and commercial contracting by drafting and negotiating agreements that align with business objectives
- Evaluate risk and support sales activities by engaging in negotiations and developing negotiation playbooks
- Provide guidance on intellectual property and data privacy matters, ensuring compliance with regulations
Required Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer with a current practising certificate (or equivalent)
- 4+ years of PQE in a reputable law firm and/or in-house environment
- Experience in commercial contracting, preferably in technology or SaaS
- Interest or exposure to privacy/data protection issues
- Experience with in-house legal operations or contract operations is a plus
