Job Summary
To support a growing telehealth practice, the part-time to full-time Newfoundland and Labrador Licensed Nurse Practitioner will assess patients using telephone and video technology, diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, and coordinate treatment plans while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Assess client presentations and determine appropriate levels of care, facilitating referrals as needed
- Independently diagnose and prescribe treatments in accordance with professional standards and guidelines
- Communicate findings and collaborate with healthcare professionals to advocate for clients' needs and ensure continuity of care
Required qualifications:
- Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program and an approved School of Nursing
- Current or willingness to obtain licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador
- Preferred 1 year of recent experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner or relevant clinical experience
- Family All Ages (FAA) certification is required
- Strong computer and technology skills for delivering virtual care
