Job Summary
Providing quality nursing care remotely, the full-time Newfoundland and Labrador Licensed RN will triage patients via telephone for the 811 HealthLine and Mental Health Crisis Line, offering mental health support and clinical advice while working within a shift schedule that includes days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Provide telephone triage and advice to assist callers in making timely medical decisions
- Deliver mental health support, including crisis intervention for addictions and suicidal callers
- Exercise clinical judgment and document medical records according to company standards
Required qualifications
- Graduation from a recognized School of Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of recent triage and/or clinical experience in relevant areas such as ER or mental health
- Active licensure with the CRNNL or willingness to obtain it
- Experience in providing mental health and crisis intervention care is a strong asset
- Familiarity with technology, including windows-based computer systems and telephone software
