Job Summary
To support a growing telehealth practice, the part-time to full-time Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner will assess patients via telephone and video technology, diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, and coordinate treatment plans while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Assess client presentations, evaluate urgency of care, and determine appropriate levels of care and follow-up
- Independently diagnose and prescribe treatments in accordance with professional standards and clinical guidelines
- Communicate findings and treatment options to clients and collaborate with healthcare professionals as needed
Required qualifications
- Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program
- Current or willingness to obtain licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador
- Preferred 1 year of recent experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner
- Experience working in emergency or urgent care is considered an asset
- Exceptional clinical assessment and decision-making abilities
