Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing telehealth practice, the part-time to full-time Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner will provide patient assessments and care through telephone and video technology while working remotely and independently diagnosing conditions, prescribing medications, and coordinating treatment plans.

Key responsibilities:

• Assess client presentations and determine appropriate levels of care, facilitating referrals as necessary
• Independently diagnose and prescribe treatments in accordance with professional standards and clinical guidelines
• Communicate findings and collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans

Required qualifications:

• Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program
• Current or willingness to obtain licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador
• Preferred 1 year of recent experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner
• Experience in emergency or urgent care is considered an asset
• Strong computer and technology skills for delivering virtual care
