Job Summary
To support a growing telehealth practice, the part-time to full-time Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner will provide patient assessments and care through virtual consultations, collaborating with healthcare professionals while managing treatment plans and follow-up care.
Key responsibilities
- Assessing client presentations and determining the urgency of care needed while facilitating referrals as appropriate
- Independently diagnosing conditions, prescribing medications, and coordinating treatment plans based on assessments and client responses
- Communicating findings and treatment options to clients and collaborating with inter-professional teams to ensure comprehensive care
Required qualifications
- Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program
- Current or willingness to obtain licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador
- Preferred 1 year of recent experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, with consideration for previous clinical experience
- Family All Ages (FAA) certification is required
- Strong computer and technology skills for delivering virtual care
