Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing telehealth practice, the part-time to full-time Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner will provide patient assessments and care through virtual consultations, collaborating with healthcare professionals while managing treatment plans and follow-up care.

Key responsibilities

• Assessing client presentations and determining the urgency of care needed while facilitating referrals as appropriate
• Independently diagnosing conditions, prescribing medications, and coordinating treatment plans based on assessments and client responses
• Communicating findings and treatment options to clients and collaborating with inter-professional teams to ensure comprehensive care

Required qualifications

• Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program
• Current or willingness to obtain licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador
• Preferred 1 year of recent experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, with consideration for previous clinical experience
• Family All Ages (FAA) certification is required
• Strong computer and technology skills for delivering virtual care
