Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing telehealth practice, the part-time to full-time Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner will provide virtual assessments and care for patients, utilizing telephone and video technology while collaborating with healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assess client presentations and determine appropriate levels of care, facilitating referrals as needed
• Independently diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, and coordinate treatment plans based on assessments and client responses
• Communicate findings and treatment options to clients and collaborate with inter-professional teams to ensure comprehensive care

Required qualifications

• Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program and an approved School of Nursing
• Current or willingness to obtain licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador
• Preferred 1 year of recent experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, with experience in emergency or urgent care considered an asset
• Family All Ages (FAA) certification required
• Strong computer and technology skills for delivering virtual care
