Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing telehealth practice, the part-time to full-time Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner will assess patients using telephone and video technology, diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, and provide follow-up care while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Assess client presentations, evaluate urgency of care, and facilitate referrals as needed
• Independently diagnose and prescribe treatments in accordance with professional standards and guidelines
• Coordinate treatment plans and communicate findings to clients and inter-professional teams

Required qualifications:

• Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program
• Current or willingness to obtain licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador
• Preferred 1 year of recent experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner
• Family All Ages (FAA) certification is required
• Strong computer and technology skills for delivering virtual care
