Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing virtual care practice, the part-time to full-time Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner will assess patients using telephone and video technology, diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, and coordinate treatment plans while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Assess client presentations, evaluate urgency of care, and facilitate referrals as needed
• Independently diagnose and prescribe in accordance with professional standards and clinical guidelines
• Communicate findings to clients and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

Required qualifications

• Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program
• Current or willingness to obtain licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador
• Preferred 1 year of recent experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner
• Family All Ages (FAA) certification is required
• Strong computer and technology skills to deliver virtual care
