Job Summary
To support a growing telehealth service, the part-time to full-time Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner will assess patients via telephone and video technology, diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, and coordinate treatment plans while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Assess client presentations, evaluate urgency, and determine appropriate care levels and follow-up
- Independently diagnose and prescribe treatments in accordance with professional standards and guidelines
- Communicate findings and treatment options to clients and collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed
Required qualifications
- Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program and an approved School of Nursing
- Current or willingness to obtain licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador
- Preferred 1 year of recent experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, with emergency or urgent care experience considered an asset
- Family All Ages (FAA) certification is required
- Strong computer and technology skills to deliver virtual care effectively
