Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing telehealth practice, the part-time to full-time Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner will provide patient assessments and care through virtual consultations, collaborating with healthcare professionals and managing treatment plans.

Key responsibilities:

• Assessing client presentations and determining appropriate levels of care while facilitating referrals as needed
• Independently diagnosing conditions, prescribing medications, and coordinating treatment plans in accordance with professional standards
• Communicating findings and treatment options to clients and collaborating with the inter-professional team to ensure comprehensive care

Required qualifications:

• Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program and an approved School of Nursing
• Current or willingness to obtain licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador
• Preferred 1 year of recent experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, with clinical experience considered
• Family All Ages (FAA) certification is required
• Strong computer and technology skills for delivering virtual care
