Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing telehealth service, the part-time to full-time Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner will assess patients using telephone and video technology, diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, and coordinate treatment plans while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Assess client presentations and determine appropriate levels of care, facilitating referrals as needed
• Independently diagnose and prescribe treatments in accordance with professional standards and clinical guidelines
• Communicate findings and treatment options to clients and collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary

Required qualifications:

• Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program
• Current or willingness to obtain licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador
• Preferred 1 year of recent experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner
• Experience in emergency or urgent care is considered an asset
• Strong computer and technology skills to deliver virtual care effectively
