NIST RMF Analyst

Job Summary

Supporting the authorization lifecycle of a mission-critical Department of Veterans Affairs cloud platform, the full-time remote NIST RMF Analyst will manage all six steps of the NIST RMF process and maintain required documentation in an environment undergoing active restructuring.

Key responsibilities

• Support all six steps of the NIST RMF process and develop, update, and maintain required RMF documentation
• Implement and maintain required NIST security controls and perform continuous monitoring activities in accordance with VA policies
• Prepare and submit required artifacts for Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages and coordinate with security personnel during authorization reviews

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, or a related field
• 5 years of experience supporting NIST RMF processes
• CompTIA Security+ certification (preferred)
• Excellent knowledge of all six steps of the NIST RMF process
• Experience supporting a federal agency
