NJ Licensed Military Peer Support Specialist

Job Summary

Providing person-centered and culturally competent services, the per diem NJ Licensed Military Peer Support Specialist will engage with individuals contacting the Call Center, offering peer support and appropriate referrals while documenting interactions in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities

• Engage individuals in an empathic manner while providing customer-friendly services
• Review service requests and respond according to departmental procedures
• Document contacts and interventions in compliance with established policies

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Three years of active duty service or 30 days in a combat zone, or four years in the National Guard
• Demonstrated ability to use a computer for recording services
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
