Job Summary

Providing underwriting support in a full-time remote capacity, the NJ/PA Licensed Underwriting Counsel will examine title orders, assess risks, and issue title insurance commitments while collaborating with company personnel and clients.

Key responsibilities
  • Examine title orders to determine title conditions and insurability, considering relevant documents
  • Research title plant software and evaluate record documents for ownership and legal descriptions
  • Recognize title defects and formulate curative solutions while preparing accurate title commitments
Required qualifications
  • 5+ years of title underwriting experience
  • Familiarity with real estate law and regulations related to title insurance
  • Strong understanding of the real estate title and settlement process
  • Ability to collaborate and act decisively in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
