Job Summary

Providing underwriting support in a remote full-time capacity, the NJ/PA Licensed Underwriting Counsel will examine title orders, issue title insurance commitments, and guide company personnel in real estate settlement services.

Key responsibilities
  • Examine title orders to determine insurability and assess risks associated with title defects
  • Research title plant software and analyze pertinent documents to establish ownership and legal descriptions
  • Prepare accurate title commitments in accordance with company procedures while collaborating with customers and escrow staff
Required qualifications
  • 5+ years of title underwriting experience
  • Familiarity with real estate law and regulations related to title insurance
  • Strong understanding of the real estate title and settlement process
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and act decisively in complex situations
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
