NMLS Licensed Pre-Approval Specialist
Job Summary
To support a growing team, the full-time remote NMLS Licensed Pre-Approval Specialist will evaluate borrower financial profiles, determine loan eligibility, and prepare pre-approval packages while collaborating with branch staff and referral partners.
Key responsibilities
- Review borrower applications and supporting documentation to assess eligibility for mortgage pre-approvals
- Calculate and validate qualifying income, analyze assets and liabilities, and run automated underwriting findings
- Prepare pre-approval letters and conduct consultations with borrowers and Realtors regarding financing options
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of residential mortgage experience with borrower qualification and pre-approval review
- Active NMLS license or commitment to obtain NMLS
- Experience with automated underwriting findings through DU and LPA
- Knowledge of conventional, FHA, and VA lending guidelines
- Proficiency in calculating and evaluating income, assets, and debt-to-income ratios
