NOC Engineer I
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the NOC Engineer I will manage outage resolution and network health monitoring across the Lumos Core and Access Broadband Network, collaborating with various teams to ensure quick service restoration.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinates network outages with multiple teams to ensure effective resolution
- Performs event notifications for internal teams and external customers
- Assists with troubleshooting and root cause analysis of network performance issues
Required qualifications
- Strong understanding of Ethernet and TCP IP networking
- 2-4+ years of professional network operations experience or five or more years of related technical experience
- High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
- CCNA certification preferred
- Ability to work a 24/7 operational schedule including nights and weekends
