Nodal Trader
Job Summary
To enhance trading strategies in a dynamic market, the remote Nodal Trader will manage virtual transactions, optimize trading programs, and develop analytical tools while ensuring compliance with risk metrics.
Key responsibilities
- Improve the performance of the Point-to-Point Obligation Bid (PTP) and daily spread trading program for profitability and volume
- Advance virtual trading of supply and demand based on market fundamentals such as weather patterns and outages
- Construct and manage profitable FTR/CRR portfolios and develop power-flow simulator-based analysis programs
Required qualifications
- Direct experience with nodal markets and/or futures markets
- Understanding of ISO transmission systems and supply stacks
- Experience with power flow simulation tools like PowerWorld
- Ability to independently run a profitable trading book
- Proficiency in analyzing supply and demand in ISO and futures markets
