Non-Delegated Mortgage Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Non-Delegated Mortgage Underwriter II.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite Agency Conventional loans by reviewing credit, capacity, and collateral characteristics
• Manage individual pipeline by completing Underwriting Reviews and Conditions Reviews within established turn times
• Identify document deficiencies and request additional information from clients as needed

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of mortgage industry experience, with 3 years of recent underwriting or loan review experience
• College degree preferred but not required
• Experience in Retail or Non-Delegated Underwriting
• Knowledge of FNMA and FHLMC guidelines
• Proficiency with automated underwriting systems such as Desktop Underwriter and Loan Prospector
