Non-Delegated Mortgage Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Non-Delegated Mortgage Underwriter III.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite conventional loans by reviewing credit, capacity, and collateral characteristics to meet quality standards
• Manage individual pipeline by completing underwriting reviews and identifying document deficiencies
• Assist department personnel in interpreting guidelines and provide updates to clients on loan conditions

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of mortgage industry experience, with 3 years of recent frontline underwriting experience preferred
• Knowledge of FNMA and FHLMC guidelines
• Proficiency with automated underwriting systems such as Desktop Underwriter and Loan Product Advisor
• College degree preferred but not required
• Experience with Encompass LOS preferred
