Non-Delegated Mortgage Underwriter

Job Summary

Managing a pipeline of conventional loans, the full-time Non-Delegated Mortgage Underwriter III will be responsible for underwriting by reviewing credit, capacity, and collateral characteristics to ensure compliance with company and investor standards, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Complete conventional loan underwriting reviews and manage individual pipeline within established turn times
• Identify document deficiencies and request additional information from clients as needed
• Assist other departments in interpreting underwriting guidelines and provide updates on loan status

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of mortgage industry experience, with 3 years of recent frontline underwriting experience preferred
• Knowledge of FNMA and FHLMC guidelines and proficiency with automated underwriting systems
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Encompass LOS experience preferred
• Project management experience is a plus
• College degree preferred but not required
