Non-QM Mortgage Underwriter

Job Summary

Experienced Non-QM Mortgage Underwriters will join a full-time team responsible for underwriting Jumbo and Non-QM loans, ensuring compliance with company policies while managing a high volume of initial underwrites remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite Jumbo and Non-QM loans, maintaining a target of 45+ initial underwrites per month
• Communicate regularly with Loan Officers and Processors regarding loan status and updates
• Assist in training other mortgage positions and maintain accurate documentation of underwriting processes

Required qualifications

• Minimum of five years of specific underwriting experience with Jumbo and Non-QM loans
• Recent experience with DU and LP systems, including the ability to interpret and document findings
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems
• Proven leadership skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a commitment to integrity and confidentiality
