Non-QM Mortgage Underwriter

Job Summary

Seeking experienced Non-QM Mortgage Underwriters, the full-time position will evaluate and underwrite complex mortgage loan applications remotely, ensuring compliance with company policies and investor guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite complex Non-QM, Jumbo, and Portfolio loan files in accordance with investor guidelines
• Analyze borrower creditworthiness, income, assets, and overall loan eligibility while maintaining file integrity
• Communicate regularly with Processors and Loan Officers regarding loan status and underwriting decisions

Required qualifications

• Minimum of five years of manual mortgage underwriting experience
• Recent Non-QM underwriting experience within the last 12-24 months is required
• Demonstrated proficiency with Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Product Advisor (LP)
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
