Non-QM Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Non-Agency (Non-QM) Underwriter to support the underwriting process for various mortgage products and property types.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite credit, property, and compliance documents to ensure loans meet guidelines and acceptable risk levels
• Communicate and resolve underwriting issues, presenting findings to brokers and internal partners
• Review underwriting exception requests and present recommendations to exception approvers

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of non-agency (non-QM) mortgage underwriting experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• In-depth knowledge of mortgage underwriting and product guidelines
• Current knowledge of state and federal compliance and regulatory environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
