Non-QM Underwriter

Job Summary

Analyzing residential mortgage loan applications for compliance and accuracy, the full-time Non-QM Underwriter will work remotely to minimize risk exposure by certifying applications are underwritten to applicable guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analyses of loan applications to assess data accuracy and compliance with investor guidelines
• Issue compliant loan decisions and perform subsequent reviews of resubmitted documentation
• Respond to loan audits and post-closing requests for additional documentation in a timely manner

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of current experience as an underwriter with a focus on Non-QM Loan guidelines
• 5+ years of minimum prior underwriting experience
• Intermediate level of computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to rapidly acquire detailed knowledge of departmental policies and investor guidelines
• Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively
