Non-QM Underwriter
Job Summary
Responsible for underwriting and maintaining a loan pipeline, the full-time remote Non-QM Underwriter will evaluate loan files, issue loan decisions, and communicate with internal teams and external lenders while ensuring compliance with guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite Non-QM and Non-Agency loan products, including various income analysis methods
- Maintain an underwriting pipeline of new loans and resubmissions in line with service level agreements
- Evaluate loan files for accuracy and compliance, issuing clear loan decisions to relevant staff
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years of mortgage underwriting experience
- Experience with Non-QM and Non-Agency underwriting
- Experience with manual underwriting and compliance requirements
- Proficiency with Encompass LOS is a plus
