North Carolina EHR Support Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting North Carolina's Rural Health Transformation Program, the remote EHR Support Specialist will manage EHR integration and interoperability services, ensuring accurate clinical data exchange for rural and underserved healthcare organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support onboarding of healthcare providers to NC HealthConnex, including EHR integration and interoperability services
• Assess EHR capabilities and data workflows to identify implementation needs and resolve integration issues
• Deliver technical training and ongoing support to providers on NC HealthConnex tools and best practices

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with EHR platforms such as Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, Allscripts/Veradigm, or NextGen
• 5+ years of experience with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7 v2, C-CDA, CCD, FHIR, USCDI)
• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting EHR integrations and validating structured clinical data
• 3+ years of experience interpreting clinical workflows and translating them into data exchange requirements
• Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy/security requirements
