Job Summary
Supporting the month-end close process, the full-time remote North Carolina Licensed Accountant will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with the annual audit while residing in North Carolina and potentially traveling for onsite meetings.
Key responsibilities
- Record journal entries and prepare monthly accruals and reclasses while maintaining asset schedules
- Manage cash transactions and process accounts receivable invoices, including proactive collection efforts
- Assist with the annual financial audit by preparing schedules and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field with four years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with two years of experience
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Experience in preparing analytical accounting and financial statements
- Ability to monitor, collect, and analyze data for accuracy and integrity
- Proficiency in Excel is preferred
