North Carolina Licensed Assistant Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assistant Counsel to join its legal team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal support to in-house counsel and internal business partners on various legal issues
• Research and analyze relevant statutes, regulations, and case law, preparing legal memoranda and opinions
• Draft, negotiate, and review legal agreements and correspondence, while supporting regulatory compliance efforts

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited law school
• 3+ years of experience in a related field
• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina or must obtain a license within 1 year of employment
• Professional experience or coursework related to health care law, insurance law, or regulatory frameworks is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to escalate legal risks appropriately
