Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate General Counsel to join their Legal team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support regulatory compliance efforts related to healthcare claims administration, including ERISA, HIPAA, and state insurance laws
• Draft, negotiate, and review various legal agreements and group health plan documents
• Conduct legal research and collaborate with internal departments to ensure legal and operational alignment

Required Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school and active state bar admission in good standing
• A minimum of three years' experience practicing law with a focus on healthcare law or health insurance
• Experience supporting contract negotiations for three or more years
• Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements such as PPACA, ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA is preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively
