North Carolina Licensed Behavioral Health Supervisor

Job Summary

Supervising the behavioral health utilization review clinicians, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Behavioral Health Supervisor will ensure appropriate care for members while managing the day-to-day activities of the utilization management team in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Monitors compliance of behavioral health utilization review clinicians with applicable guidelines
• Tracks utilization management resources to ensure adherence to performance, quality, and efficiency standards
• Provides coaching, guidance, and performance evaluations to the behavioral health utilization management team

Required qualifications

• Valid North Carolina license as LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHP, RN, or BCBA
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a bachelor's degree with 4+ years of related experience
• Prior supervisory experience in behavioral health preferred
• Knowledge of behavioral health utilization management principles preferred
• Understanding of medical necessity criteria for a broad range of behavioral health services preferred
