Job Summary
Supervising the behavioral health utilization review clinicians, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Behavioral Health Supervisor will ensure appropriate care for members while managing the day-to-day activities of the utilization management team in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Monitors compliance of behavioral health utilization review clinicians with applicable guidelines
- Tracks utilization management resources to ensure adherence to performance, quality, and efficiency standards
- Provides coaching, guidance, and performance evaluations to the behavioral health utilization management team
Required qualifications
- Valid North Carolina license as LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHP, RN, or BCBA
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a bachelor's degree with 4+ years of related experience
- Prior supervisory experience in behavioral health preferred
- Knowledge of behavioral health utilization management principles preferred
- Understanding of medical necessity criteria for a broad range of behavioral health services preferred
