Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inside Claims Representative I.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjudicates liability and property claims, ensuring compliance with statutory laws and maintaining accurate documentation
• Establishes contact with all parties involved in claims and evaluates claims for negotiation and potential subrogation opportunities
• Responds to inquiries from policyholders, agents, and claimants while maintaining knowledge of relevant laws and regulations

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years of related claims handling or customer service experience, or equivalent educational experience required
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred
• Successful completion of Introduction to Insurance (INTRO) and Introduction to Claims (AIC 30) preferred
• Must obtain appropriate licenses as required by state within 45 days of employment for external applicants
• Knowledge of liability laws and motor vehicle codes is beneficial
