Job Summary
Handling liability and property claims under close supervision, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Claims Representative will investigate claims, ensure compliance with state laws, and communicate with all parties involved while working remotely with required evening and Saturday shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Investigates and adjudicates claims, verifying coverage and establishing reserves while documenting claim files
- Evaluates and negotiates claims, recognizing subrogation opportunities and processing payments within designated authority
- Maintains knowledge of relevant liability laws and motor vehicle codes, providing support for property claims during high volume periods
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with two years of related claims handling or customer service experience
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred
- Successful completion of Introduction to Insurance (INTRO) and Introduction to Claims (AIC 30) preferred
- Ability to obtain appropriate licenses as required by state within 45 days of employment
- Access to internet service with a minimum of 50 mbps download and 10 mbps upload speeds
