Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Claims Representative will handle liability and property claims, ensuring compliance with state insurance laws while resolving coverage and liability issues.
Key responsibilities
- Investigates and adjudicates claims, verifying coverage and maintaining reserves while documenting claim files
- Establishes contact with all parties involved in claims and evaluates opportunities for subrogation
- Responds to inquiries from policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders, while maintaining knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with two years of related claims handling or customer service experience
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred
- Successful completion of Introduction to Insurance (INTRO) and Introduction to Claims (AIC 30) preferred
- Must obtain appropriate licenses within 45 days of employment
- Proximity to the Raleigh Branch office is preferred
