Job Summary
Handling liability and property claims under close supervision, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Claims Representative will investigate claims, ensure compliance with state laws, and evaluate and negotiate settlements while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Investigates and adjudicates claims, verifying coverage and establishing reserves while documenting claim files
- Evaluates and negotiates claims, recognizing subrogation opportunities and processing payments within designated authority
- Responds to inquiries from policyholders, agents, and other parties involved in the claims process
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with two years of related claims handling or customer service experience, or equivalent educational experience
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred
- Successful completion of Introduction to Insurance (INTRO) and Introduction to Claims (AIC 30) preferred
- Must obtain appropriate licenses as required by state within 45 days of employment
